Can I use dryed pine needles for bedding for chicks?

I would find something else, because pine needles have sharp ends on them. Don't use newspaper, because when they run their feet will slip sideways and it's hard on their joints. You can use grass clippings as long as the lawn hasn't been sprayed with any chemicals.
