My brother fell of his bike, Please help?

My little brother fell of his bike and hurt himself very hard on the hand/arms. After a couple of minutes, his palm side, in the middle ( a little to the right) is all blue, and he tells us that it hurts and he wants to go to the clinic. Is everything okay? Will his hand heal by itself? Im worried. Please help if you can.
