Is it reasonable to say that....?

Pine trees don't loose their pine needles in the winter in order to compensate for the loss of leaves on other trees which produce oxygen. Since obviously trees produce oxygen, and in the winter they loose their leaves, they don't anymore, so pine trees would compensate for the loss. Is that reasonable to say?
